Paid Intern: Interns at SFBI assist instructors in the day-to-day operations of the school while working to elevate their level of baking and pastry competence. The Internship is six months long, Monday-Friday, 7am to 5pm, or as needed. This position demands a lot of attention, dedication, and hard work, but the benefits are huge. For our internship program, applicants need to have at least 200 hours of culinary school baking curriculum or 4 years in the baking field with experience in all departments (bread, pastry, cake, etc). Our interns gain experience in a production setting. Interns rotate in stations covering lunches, bread, viennoiserie, and pastry. We are proud of our internship program, and of our interns

TN- Blackberry Farm is looking for the position of A.M. Pastry Cook is a full-time position of 32-40 hours per week. Applicants must be able to work weekends and holidays, as business dictates. The position requires standing for up to ten hours a day, and applicants must be able to lift 50 pounds. Culinary school graduates are preferred. The shift is ten hours, beginning around 5:00 a.m. Monday - Saturday and 4:00 a.m. on Sundays. Shifts may be longer or shorter, according to business needs. Please note that this shift is 4 - 10 hour shifts. Job duties include: Production and maintenance of cookie inventories for lunch desserts and amenities, production and delivery of plated lunch desserts, production and delivery of brunch desserts on Sundays, production and delivery of buffet desserts as menus require, assisting other bake shop team members when required, and cross-training on other bake shop positions, completion of assigned daily cleaning duties. The shift is from 5:00 a.m. to 1 p.m., except on Sundays, which is 4:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  Shifts may be longer or shorter, according to business needs. CA-Morell’s Bread is looking for a part time assistant baker starting on May 9.  He run the bakery out of the kitchen at Headlands Center for the Arts near Sausalito in Marin County and have the great fortune to bake out of an Alan Scott designed wood fired brick oven.  He is looking for someone who is a motivated quick learner, isn’t afraid to get dirty, and can work quickly with precision.  The position is for one day a week on Wednesdays, and the compensation is $12.00/hr.  The shift is from 11:30am until 1:30 am the next morning, which sounds long, but the time flies and the location is unmatched.  The day also includes a long break in the afternoon, up to 1.5 hours depending on how fast you are, which is paid. As well, you will be paid for the full 14 hours even if we finish early which happens most nights.
